TRANSPORATION ENGINEERING (HIGHWAY DESIGN)
AEC’s Highway Design Department has been a cornerstone of our operations since 1976, when we undertook our first highway design project. Over the years, the department has expanded significantly, providing multi-disciplinary, end-to-end services to clients both locally and globally.
Our expertise covers feasibility studies, route alignment analysis, and detailed engineering design for new projects, as well as rehabilitation and maintenance of existing roads and highways. We support construction supervision teams during project execution, ensuring seamless development of motorways, national and provincial highways, farm-to-market roads, rural access roads, and urban streets.

Pioneering Technological Advancements
Recognizing the importance of state-of-the-art technology, AEC made a groundbreaking decision in 2019 to fully digitize its design processes—becoming the first consultant in Pakistan to successfully transition from manual to 100% computerized design.
This transformation allowed our professionals to focus on design optimization, rather than manual calculations, leading to more economical and functional designs for our clients. Today, we utilize advanced design tools such as MX ROAD to develop new infrastructure projects and rehabilitation works. Additionally, our team has developed in-house software solutions to further enhance design efficiency.
